How to appear offline / invisible in Google Talk?

Google Talk is one of the leanest IM clients, and with most people having either Talk or GMail open in their browsers, your best friend is probably a chat away.
Google Talk does miss some common features – perhaps the biggest of them being a lack of invisibility mode. Invisibility mode, or offline mode, is common to many other instant messenger clients, and allows you to stay online and chat with your friends without being visible to them. This is very helpful if you are busy or would generally not like a hundred friends bombarding you with IM message

Google Talk Labs brings offline mode

Google Talk Labs edition, a little-known experimental Google Talk software, has an updated interface, tabbed chatting and a few other features, most important of which is invisible mode. Although Google may claim that Labs softwareis experimental and not fit for general use, I have not had any problems after using it for months.
Download Google Talk Labs, install it and use it. Whenever you want to go invisible, change the status to invisible (like the picture to the left).

Disable Annoying System Restart Notification after Windows Automatic Updates

Microsoft provides free automatic updates to all it’s operating systems to ensure maximum protection against latest security threats and provide few old bug fixes. However, once the security updates get installed, it starts displaying a notification to restart your system in regular intervals. Now this is very annoying if you are doing something important and the restart notification pops up every now and then.
There are two ways to disable system restart notifications after Windows automatic updates. Follow either of the following ways to block such notifications.

Disable Temporarily – Using Run Command
  1. Navigate to Start >> Run >> type net stop wuauserv >> click Enter
  2. This will stop the whole Windows Update process until next system restart
  3. You are done.
Disable Permanently – Using Group Policy
  1. Head to Start >> Run >> type gpedit.msc >> hit Enter
  2. Above step will open group policy editor
  3. Now go to Computer Configuration >> Administrative Templates >> Windows Components >> Windows Update
  4. On the right hand side pane, double click on No auto-restart with logged on users for scheduled automatic updates installations and enable it

  1. Save the settings and exit Microsoft Group policy administration
  2. You are done
